OUR SUSTAINABILITY PANEL
Tarmac’s External Sustainability Panel has, for over a decade, acted as a valued critical friend, advising, constructively challenging and guiding the business on the sustainability issues that matter most to Tarmac and its stakeholders. Throughout this period, Panel members have brought deep expertise across a breadth of environmental and social topics, helping to shape our long‑term strategy, strengthen our governance and accelerate the integration of sustainability across our operations.
Their insights have informed our net zero pathway, energy management and renewables approach, biodiversity and land stewardship, whole‑life solutions, and our people agenda, while their horizon scanning and detailed discussions on climate mitigation, energy strategy and double materiality have supported the development of robust decarbonisation and energy roadmaps.
The maturity developed through this partnership has enabled Tarmac to build strong in‑house capability across key technical areas, allowing us to evolve from a standing panel to a more targeted, programme‑specific model of external engagement. We are deeply grateful for the Panel’s expertise, challenge and commitment over the past ten years, and we thank its members for their lasting contribution to Tarmac’s sustainability journey.
